PiBurn “Pigtail” cable for new wiring

This cable is for adding a rotary/motor plug to your laser. It connects directly to your stepper motor driver. One end is wired to a GX-16 4-pin male socket connector and another end has loose “pigtail” wires (crimped to quality ferrules) that you can install (screw in) into standard green terminal blocks of your stepper motor driver.

You can also choose an optional GX-16 4-pin FEMALE socket to rewire your Y-axis motor if you want to share your new socket port with both the Rotary and Y-axis gantry. Please note this will require some soldering!

The cable is approximately 1 meter (about 3.3 ft) long

For 3-phase motors our “standard” pinout is:
PIN1:  W Phase BLACK
PIN2 V Phase WHITE
PIN3* is not connected
PIN4* U Phase YELLOW
*If a 3-pin plug is used, then PIN3 will be connected to the “U” phase.

For 2-phase motors “standard” pinout is:

PIN1: A+BLACK
PIN2: A- WHITE
PIN3: B+ [RED]
PIN4: B-  YELLOW

For reference only: GX-16 connector also known as the “aviation” connector has a black plastic “male” plug with a diameter of 12 mm. Socket version of this connector is silver metallic with a diameter of 16mm
